I kept a note, down where we'd go, when you were sleeping.
I quickly wrote, what we would be when we are grown, but I was deceived
by statues crowned in gold, with tiled, clay cracked soles
that slowly start to dissipate into the sea.
Surrounds above and below, create a space to go,
a refuge, where I will return, when I'm sleeping.
I ascend on sheets of light that slowly fade.
I hear a voice speak truth to me I won't retain.
I see light refract across the film across the sky.
I flinch, return to dirt, turned from the frontier line.
