How long, does it take, does it take, to be?
Relaxed, settled in, laid back, set free.
From my plight, from this worry, from the ambiguity.
Lord, can't you see the weight pressed on me, Lord have pity on me.
And the chorus shook their head, and collectively they read, "all things work
together for good to those that love Him."
I could sing all the days, all the days, I have left.
But what would come of the screech from my breath?
It does not bear fruit, empty words ride my breath.
Oh lord, can't you see, the cracks and faults within me. Lord have pity on me.
And the chorus shook their heads, and collectively they read, "they will
devour, and even there, sacrifice with shouts of joy."
Wait and see prescribed by fate, the tiles will begin to break. Mix water, sand together and wait.
The tiles begin to crack. Unique shapes come flooding back. Rearrange the mess to something that
altogether takes a new form. New pattern, colors, become the norm. Mosaic sets, weathers the storm.
Those it may be just for the night, this refuge will suit this flight. Dig out a hole, let in the light.
